My 12-inch skillet gets screaming hot on the stove, and this holder lets me carry it straight to the table without scrambling for a towel. The silicone has a nice firm grip even when my hands are a little greasy, and it's held up fine against the 500-degree heat so far.
The textured grip on this holder actually stays put even when my hands are slightly greasy from cooking, and it slides on and off the handle without any wrestling. My cast iron skillet now feels safe to carry straight from the oven to the table, and it’s held up through a dozen uses without any melt
I burned my hand one too many times pulling a skillet out of the oven, but these holders fit snugly and that 500°F rating gives me real peace of mind. The silicone is thick enough that I can carry a heavy pan across the kitchen without any heat seeping through.
