The spiral design locks into the pot’s wire perfectly, and it swings open smoothly even with a gloved hand. I swapped out a rusty old handle and this fit my 5 quart like it was made for it, which it basically was.

I was a little worried about finding the right replacement, but this spiral bail handle matches the original perfectly and installs in under a minute. The coil design gives a comfortable grip even when I've got oven mitts on, which is a nice upgrade from the old one.

The spiral bail handle feels solid and the metal is thicker than I expected, so it doesn't wobble when I lift the pot by it. It snapped right into the lugs on my 5-quart, and the swing motion is smooth for hanging over a campfire.
