I was skeptical about how much heat protection these would actually give, but I grabbed a pan straight off the burner without flinching. The silicone grip is thick enough that it doesn’t slip, and the 450° rating definitely holds up in practice.
Pulled a cast iron skillet off the stove with these and felt zero heat through the silicone, even at full blast. They fit snug and didn't slide around, though I wish they came in more color options to match my kitchen.
