The lid fits so snugly that I can practically hear the steam staying trapped inside—perfect for those long braises. It’s heavy without being impossible to handle, and the natural cast iron really seals in the flavor.
Finally, a lid heavy enough to actually trap steam for braising without rattling around. It fits my skillet perfectly and the cast iron heat retention is fantastic for slow-simmered sauces.
