Seasoning was flawless right out of the box—eggs slid around like butter. The Derby engraving on the handle is a nice touch for anyone who’s been to Churchill Downs. It’s heavy but that’s exactly what you want from a skillet this size.
Cooked a batch of mini Derby pies in it and the heat distribution was spot-on, no hot spots at all. The 10.25-inch size is perfect for a table centerpiece, and the limited-edition design feels like a real keepsake. Seasoning is already solid out of the box.
Seasoned right out of the box, so it’s actually ready for cooking tonight instead of just sitting on a shelf. The Derby engraving on the handle gives it that collectible feel without being too flashy, and it heated evenly when I made a quick cornbread.
